Become a POLl  Observer

WHAT IS A POLL OBSERVER?

Poll Observers OBSERVE everything that happens at the polling place and ballot processing facilities from start to finish and take notes without interfering. We do this to educate ourselves about Election processes in our county and to improve Election Integrity at the polls.

Guidelines
- Arizona law allows a poll observer to be appointed by the County Chairman of each political party with a candidate on the ballot, one per polling place.

- The Pinal County Elections Department has established protocols for party observers to ensure that questions or issues on Election Day can be handled quickly and efficiently and that the voting process is disturbed as little as possible.

- To become a Poll Observer in Pinal County, you must be a registered Democrat and reside in Pinal County.

- Political Observers can work at a polling site during early voting, on election day, and even after election day, observing at the Pinal County Elections Office.

- Once the Pinal County Democratic Party Chair has reviewed the form, you will be invited to a Poll Observers Training Session. Attending a Poll Observers training session is MANDATORY for you to be appointed a Poll Observer.- Once your training is completed, you will receive a Poll Observer Appointment form certifying you as a Poll Observer.

- You must present your Poll Observer Appointment form at your assigned polling site.

- So that you know – you will be contacted to receive your assigned day(s) and time(s) for Poll Observing.
